There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Sad for the poor guy but still crazy to see.
That gaur can't be domestic, they have never been domesticated.
Wild gaurs used the plantations (tea, coffee, spices etc.) as corridors between forests & often stray into the adjoining localities (most started as worker settlements during colonial days).
There are few dozens of similar videos on YouTube, though not quite striking as this...
It could be a gayal, a form of domesticated gaur.
It isn't gayal either.
The Gayal is very distinctively differentiable from the Gaur by its straight & conical horns...also, males lack the huge hump sported by gaurs.

Other than that, gayals belong to Northeast India & Bhutan/Burma..while the people in this video are clearly from the South (we indians can tell the difference)...
