In Etosha national park Male cheetahs had an average shoulder height of 86 cm (n=10) and female cheetahs had an average shoulder height of 81 cm (n=10).The biggest male cheetah had a shoulder height of 97 cm and the smallest male cheetah in this area had a shoulder height of 79 cm.The biggest female cheetah in this area had a shoulder height of 73 cm and the smallest female cheetah had a shoulder height of 70 cm.For both genders cheetahs in Etosha NP have an average shoulder height of 84 cm (n=20).(1)

Ultrasonographically determined renal values and comparisons to serum biochemistry renal variables in aged semi-captive cheetahs (Acinonyx jubatus) gives average shoulder height of 73 cm for semi-captive male cheetahs (n=17) and 71 cm for female semi-captive cheetahs (n=10).Average shoulder height for both genders would be 72 cm (n=27).
