 when the Leopard scared the crap out of a Hyena.."

It is not so common to see them clash especially since a Leopard usually climbs up a tree and somehow manages to escape. 
It is rarer for them to have a stand off for a good fifteen minutes or so and what is even more uncommon is to see a female subadult hold her ground and scare away a Hyena. 

So ladies and gentlemen, here is Jhalana for you. The soul of the park, Juliet the Leopard and the oh-so-mischievous Sparky the Hyena. 

It was a normal safari with Hemant Bhaiya that turned wild (pun intended) with this sighting. The bold Leopard walking alongside the jeep, chasing numerous Peafowls all the way; filling the jungle with alarm calls and flighting calls. It was indeed the fruition of patience that Hemant Bhaiya had and the gut feeling I had as soon as I entered the park today..
