Dholes are Indian coyotes. Dholes is not big cats-killers. Even a gray wolf is stronger than 10 dholes. They can kill sick young (kittens) and very elderly big cats.

BAHRAICH: As many as 12 tamed wolves were killed by leopards Gadriyanpurwa village near Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary on Sunday night. Sugreev Pal had tied his wolves in a compound a little away from his house. On Monday morning, he found the wolves lying dead.
The villagers informed the forest officials about the incident. Gadriyanpurwa village is hardly 500 metres away from the forest from Kakraha range of Katarniaghat reserved forest area. Forest ranger J K Verma sent a team to the spot. The team confirmed that the wolves were killed by leopards.
