"The dogs lost their first impala kill instantly to hyeana, they then went after lechwe, but were unsuccessfully. They continued hunting and after losing them for a few minutes they were suddenly eating a large male warthog when we caught up with them. We had just got our cameras ready when out of nowhere a male leopard came charging at the dogs - it was a very close call for one dog, but the other two came to its rescue, and all three dogs then turned on the leopard chasing him up the branch of a tree. It was clear that this was in fact the leopard’s kill which the dogs had come across. The leopard made a couple of attempts to get his kill back but was chased up the tree again. He then patiently, and unhappily, waited until the dogs finished their share and left before coming down and tucking into his well earned meal! A thrilling encounter!" Reply
