@Pckts, the mean weight they took in the study was from Indian gaurs and you yourself agree that gaurs from South East Asia are bigger which points to even a higher mean weight and therefore higher average weights for this study of Indochinese tigers. So, the numbers I quoted would be a conservative estimates.

As for water buffaloes in Kaziranga, bulls are killed. But, it is rare. Some of it is because of their size and aggressiveness, but, the rarity is also because of numbers. There aren’t as many water buffaloes as there are Gaur. Plus, there are like 5 places where they coexist with tigers in significant numbers unlike Gaurs and tigers who have significant coexisting overlap. Reply
