There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

B2 and Other Great Tiger Pics from India

@Ngonya

While you wait for a response, here are some pictures of B3 "Barra Larka" again from Iain Green's Tiger Jungle. That book likely contains some pictures of B1 "Raj" too but as a subadult (the individual pictures are not labeled). Green specifically mentions that B1 and his mate, Kokila,  were very difficult to photograph because their territories extended from Raj Behra (which is in the tourism zone) into Kulwah which is outside of Tala and the tourism zone. B1 disappeared 2002 and was likely poached.

Bandhavgarh is churning out some large males. Look at the Dhamokhar subadult (son of D1 and Bufferwali/Gauri tiger) and the Raa subadult (son of Bajrang and Raa), they look very impressive for their age. I said before that people thought the Dhamokhar subadult was Bajrang, well we now have others saying that the Raa subadult is similar in size to Bajrang already!

He fought seasoned males like Bajrang and Ambeutara to enter Moharli, continues to fight against males like Paras and Shambhu, and will likely have to fight 5225 and Sanju to retain his territory. However he continues to be seen every other day in the Moharli buffers, far more than any of his rivals, and seems to be holding strong. The most tourist-friendly of the Moharli buffer males and one of my favorite tigers, Taru Male.
