Taru

Origins unknown, this big young badass of a male tiger does not know what giving up means. He first ventured into Agarzari where he stayed for a while but then one day he ran into choti madhu who was on a gaur kill in Dewada, maybe the smell of the kill attracted him to the location as he had never been seen in Dewada before. After the run in choti madhu smartly hid her subadult cubs and Taru was seen leaving after filling his belly with some gaur meat. I guess It was his attraction towards choti madhu that led him to visit Dewada zone regularly after that and then eventually he played a part in dethroning the then king of Dewada- Agarzari-Junona - Bajrang. Taru has been in constant fights since then and has now taken over much of the Dewada and Agarzari area while Chota Dadiyal has taken over the Junona area. Shambhu and Paras also continue to hold some territory in agarzari and parts of Dewada.

Till date Taru has been in fights with Bajrang, Shambhu and Paras. He still continues to be the most seen male in the area while both Paras and Shambhu have started to being seen lesser and lesser.

Interesting thing is Taru after taking over Agarzari from Bajrang went to the extreme ends of his territory to explore the area. During one of his exploration he came across Madhuri- Queen and Godmother of Tadoba who is now living around the coal mines of padmapur after being pushed out by her daughter choti madhu and W mark tigress. He was spotted roaming with Madhuri during the monsoon around the mines area. He also went as far as Mamla zone to explore the area but returned and it now looks like he favours Dewada and Agarzari zone more.

Taru was also interestingly seen in one of the rarest scenes in the wild , He was seen consuming and carrying away a sloth bear last monsoon. A very rare thing to come across in the wild.

Looking forward to what this male has in store for us. He has been a delight ever since his arrival and it's going to be really interesting to see his behaviour as a father which he soon will be.

Choti Madhu T-127

Lineage - Daughter of Khali and Madhuri

Born to late Khali and Legendary GodMother of tadoba Madhuri around 2016. Choti Madhu has taken tadoba buffers by the storm.

She became viral when as a subadult she once chased a tourist jeep for fun. Since then Choti Madhu took over majority of her mother's territory and now roams both Dewada abd Agarzari zone. She is seen frequently by locals and visitors crossing the main traveling tar road.

Choti Madhu has had 2 litters till now both were sired by Bajrang who was a long standing king of tadoba moharli buffers. The most famous among these 6 cubs is Xylo who was the first litter male cub he is now ruling the Belara buffer area in Kolara side of Tadoba. The 3 subadult cubs of latest litter have separated a few months back.

After Bajrang was dethroned Choti Madhu  was seen mating with Taru. She was also seen with Paras and Shambhu. One of the interesting sightings of this year was when Shambhu was mating with both Choti Madhu and W female side by side one after the other. One of the rare sights for sure.

Taru continues to be moving in and around choti madhu and he holds majority of the territory she roams in both Agarzari and Dewada zone. Hopefully we can expect good news from her this monsoon and see some new cubs next season.

The Giant with a Gentle Heart

Chota Matka is a caring and loving father just like his own dad Matkasur. He has been seen taking care of the cubs and watching over them a few times already. He had a hard time in his early life as he was casted out by his father who was trying to protect his cubs with maya. He was then beaten up a few times by then ruler of Alizanza/Navegaon Ramdegi/Nimdhela Buffer Mowgli. During one of these fights he also lost part of his flesh near his jaw. And so the deadly look was born where you can see his canines all the time. He has grown big and strong in the last 6.5-7 years and finally commands a good territory to his name.

Last season he managed to overthrow Mowgli and took over his entire territory. He then sired cubs with 3 females and now has a total of 9 cubs with his DNA that roam the tourism area regularly.

With a powerful lineage, sired by T03 and born from the second litter of mother T 63, T 120 is definitely one to watch out for in the coming years…
