There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

| Mitigating Conflict, for the 42nd time in a year |

Couple months back, a tigress from Pilibhit Tiger Reserve in Uttar Pradesh ventured away from the safety of the protected area, and into the nearby agriculture fields. But for the last few days, it's presence has caused quite a stir in the Kalyanpur region. It is completely out in the open and is often being sighted by the locals leading to panic.

The tigress hasn't harmed any human so far and is interestingly pretty tolerant to human presence.
But to avoid any potential human-tiger conflict, the forest department and team #WTI have sprung into action.

The capture operation has begun and we are actively monitoring the animal 24*7, on foot and through camera traps. The rescue strategy has been laid out and in time, the individual will be safely returned #backtowild.

Crowd management is critical for such operations to ensure safety of both the tiger and the people. WTI's Primary and Rapid Response teams are professionally adept at doing so and adequately support the forest department with all aspects of human - big cat conflict mitigation. In last one year, 41 such operations have been conducted by us. This is the 42nd operation!

When the day our entire nation was preparing to witness our titans take on their opponent in the cricket ground, I witnessed two mighty titans fight out another territory war
.

Early morning safari at Jhirna zone blessed me to witness a fight between two huge male tigers. Though by the time we spotted them the stronger one had pinned down the other one
.

This was followed by a stern warning to remind the one who lost how brutal the fight could have ended to be. Post this there was the process of lining where both the Tigers walked in parallel defining the line that shouldn't be crossed
.

The one who lost was bleeding from the jaw  but was well made aware who rules that particular territory and whom not to be messed with.
