There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Sigh of relief - Maneater Tigress which killed 5 persons recently in Dudhwa Buffer zone has been finally captured by the Forest officials. She has been brought to my home town Lucknow for observation. The reason found to turn Maneater was cleared by the forest officials that her left Cannine was broken and she was quite old which indicates it's inability to hunt natural prey in the wild. At present the Tigress in quarantine under the supervision of veterinarians and expert keepers of Lucknow zoo. At last i feel happy for the Tigress and ? for the foresters. Experts feel that when fit it can be released back into the forest. July/2022

Nature is amazing. Absolutely amazing, rather no language is rich enough to describe it. What not is on display here. Prey, predator, camouflage, river, hunting technique, innocence, life, death, a very tense situation, prey was unaware, predator is unsure, total hide and seek game. The most wonderful thing is that one was there to witness it , courtesy Deepak Dhayani ji, one of the best guides of the country.
It was scorching heat of the summer and Tigeress was cooling herself in the river and all of a sudden she spotted the deer coming near the river and fully ignorant about the predator waiting to pounce. Tigress further went inside the water and hid herself behind the boulders on the bank of the river. The drama lasted for more than an hour and it was so tense and full of suspense that one cannot describe. These are once in a lifetime moments. Deer was totally unaware of the lurking danger just a few feet away. Such are the ways of nature. A chase which one witnesses once in a lifetime.
The moments you live for and the moments you die for. What a situation... what a scenario.
