There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Thats a young lion aswell, very impressive hight, he can be big one one time, and kevin workshop in south Africa and they do seem to grow tall there! :-)
He will gain mass with age, I doubt a lion of that age is growing much taller. Everything I see in big cats points to sub adults just being not quite as robust but usually pretty close in frame size, wether lion or tiger.
Actually, I am wrong. I just read your South african lion table, and it looks as though the largest shoulder heights where on the oldest males. Seems to be about 1cm a year up until age 8
