There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Makes perfect sense, water is key to life, here.

Peter once said a interesting theory, he said that lions probably hit a size limit lower than a tiger because in their eco system it is more important to have a "extra mouth" than super size. Maybe the less sexual dimorphism in lions compared to tigers is because of the benefit of "more mouths = more power".

I can find that kaziranga image gallery and post here if you haven't seen it?

Yeah thats possible, because they are very the same under the skinn, but tigers can have the meal for themself, esspecially males, because female's have to share kills with cubs, and are abot the same size as lionesses!

And male tigers are bigger than male lions! Atleast in weight!

Yeah sure the length! And lions are taller, from my own eye view they looked taller atleast Krüger lions are taller. When is was in south Africa I did vist a sanctury and one male there was so tall at it's shoulders, very impressive hight I'm a short guy but the shoulders was as high as the bottom of my ribs, almost 120, they said 128, but that was an over estimation, but still a very tall lion

Btw i edit my prvious post if you haven't seen it
