There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

He almost looks like he did 4 years ago when him and his brothers first arrived on Djuma due to the lost mane.
Good to see he’s still alive though and doesn’t appear to be in dire straights, at this point.
Tbf, majority of males lost a bit of mane atm in Sabi Sands and Kruger (compare pictures now and half a year ago) as its summer season and first few months in the year are some of the hottest , after May/June their manes will start to get thicker and more impressive as it gets colder.
Lion manes are linked to the climate and whether changes (just like in majority of animals with coats).
So im not concermed about a bit of mane loss, as its normal atm.
