There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Again... they DID NOT grow from a small population!

Earlier all the forests around Kaziranga had tigers.
Most of the next generations migrated towards Kaziranga leaving back only a handful outside the proteced areas (many of whom got poached).

Now that their numbers there have grown too much, they're pushing the younger/weaker ones out & today peripheral forests have tigers again.

PS: Who estimated them to be 380 kilos?
Even if some were weighed those numbers were never released!

Although many here would disagree, from the looks of them, i don't think the average weight would be much higher than the Terai...
