There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Tigers and Asiatic black bears I believe do not live in giant panda range and neither do clouded leopards.

Indeed.

There are 2 species of clouded leopard (Neofelis nebulosa) : The Clouded Leopard ("Mainland Clouded Leopard") & The Sunda Clouded Leopard.

Although really impressive hunters, they don't reach over 25 kg which is about 1/3 - 1/5 of the size of an Giant Panda.

Giant Pandas are capables are defending theirselves pretty well. The Southern Chinese Population of Tigers could have a been a threat to adults, if they shared their distribution. However, the last time i looked, this population of tiger were numbered at only 50 individuals in the wild.

And yellow-throated martens would seldom attack a adult panda.
