Avoca young males having feast. So far their advances have been impressive.
Youngest Nkuhuma has cubs. Number of cubs increased to at least 8. (Not sure abt Amber eyes cub though!)
Nkorho Bush Lodge: 21 August Morning Drive - Just made it in time to see the one NKUHUMA female crossing over the main road with her BRAND NEW cub! There were TWO of them seen. Very, very exciting! Morné Fouché There are at least 8 cubs now and there are more than 1 males cubs for sure. There won't be a Junior like situation! Also the dominant males are 4 strong and in their prime, I hope they will have a longer reign and raise all the cubs to independence!! Nkuhumas may become the biggest pride in Sabi sands likely!!
We end this week’s recap with two male lion coalitions which have us all on the edge of our seats – the young Tsalala males and the young Avoca males. Both coalitions are just over 4 years of age, with the Avoca males being a couple of months older, yet the Tsalala’s are quite a bit bigger than the Avoca’s!

Video to follow. ? Morné Fouché Yes 5 Female and 1 Male in older cubs. (These 6 cubs belong to 3 lionesses) New cubs (2) and may be Amber eyes have cubs alive or will have cubs soon. This will account for all 5 lionesses having cubs.

The Avoca males were found this morning trying to mate (rather unsuccessfully) with the Eyrefield pride lionesses. With their numbers being threatened by other coalitions in the area, could this be the start of a new pride? Only time will tell.  *This image is copyright of its original author
Looks like the Eyrefield Male cub is alive and trying to find the Adult Females
