not necessarily ordered in age or hierarchy but more so development in my personal opinion.
So who is gone? Orange eyed male?
Now when they are all grown up, I actually think all of them are prob sired by Ross males.
Madzinyo and Kovu are older ones, Madzinyo is very similar to Fabio, while Kovu to Tyson.

Gulayao, he was the sick one. His name itself translates to "being sick or ill".
The boy had a large growth on the bottom of his stomach, idk what it was but Cathan believes thats more likely to be what got him. Gulayo

Was just about to say this. He was actually the most developed when they left the pride, but he got sick, very thin, and unable to keep up with the rest of them very early on, then he just disappeared.

I think you mistaken him for 7th/older male, who was sired by Avoca/Giraffes. He was older than younger 6, born 2016, he got sick and died sudenly.
Gulayo, Dzombo and Indlebe are 3 of younger ones.
Kovu, Madzinyo and Ilanga are older ones.
7th died first in 2021 or 2022 i think, cant remember.

You are correct, I am indeed confusing the two. Apologies, for any confusion I may have caused anyone!
Great sighting of the Giraffe male lion, joining his black dam pride at the buffalo kill and commanding respect! This is a throwback to 2018 when this solo male ruled the Black Dam pride and raised the current 6 Black Dam males.

This is fantastic news! Though, I wish the other three were still around, to improve their chances, and help to make the new pride's chances even better. Perhaps they are just off somewhere, and may return, yet. Hope we can a lot of updates on them, moving forward.

Makes me wonder and think possibly Shaka and ZigZag might be immine to TB or possibly not have it at all as I would venture to guess a high percentage of other lions would have succumb to the illness after being beat down so many times, especially at an older age living with BovTB. If I remember correctly weren't they darted and checked for it in the past?

I believe Shaka, since a couple of months, has a TB mark on the side of his body. I heard lions in Kruger get tested for it and then they mark them. Maybe someone can confirm
