Time for this girl to build a legendary legacy akin to Tailless Tsalala. It can be done, but takes a special lioness to do it.
The ones that grow up and adapt to their new lives will survive. Those that dont will likely perish. It may be five, it may be none. The only thing we can hope for is that plenty of lionesses survive.

Feeding five hungry teen lions must be really hard. And these cubs are younger than her previous ones before Tumbela arrival.
I don't think that would be a good decision. That would be devastating. The pride has already suffered enough without more losses. These subs are half grown and have a chance at a pride comeback. As far as feeding goes, these youngsters will soon be learning to hunt and be able to assist Sassy. What would happen if she chooses one and leaves and they get caught and the youngster gets killed? Then Sassy is alone again. They will be better together. Auntie and Junior's mom didn't lose their life for Sassy to turn around and abandon the subs. If she did that then they will have died in vain. I know it's tough in the wild and sometimes hard decisions must be made but sticking together and trying her best to get these youngsters to adults (as many as possible) is the best decision. That pictures of them all laying together is a good sign Sassy will do her best. I'm glad they are safe and I hope they can avoid other lions. That is my personal opinion, anyways.

"Good news! We just got word from the reserve, the young Othawa female was found on Savanna with 5 sub adult cubs this evening.
I’ve seen some message traffic that intimates Sassy has wounds from the altercation also. So it seems it was quite touch and go that it could have been worse. The words used was ‘she’s been seen w 5 cubs but was beat up’. Cannot speak regarding reliability of info, since it’s third party. None of the guides I’ve messaged have responded.

Hello every one:- here photo for the Famous Othawa males known as One Eye and Stompie back to July 2009 in KNP, i need to say something these two boys sired many lions sense they become a pride males sense 2006 to late 2013 in the midd seciton of Kruger National Park so Othawa pride bloodline is there and still .

Othawa bloodline is a strong one. Stompie and One-eyed spread pretty well the bloodline throughout the KNP. As you've mentioned my friend, the Othawa bloodline is here and there

Hope Sassy can bring these sub-adults protection and feed. They soon can help her in the hunts. Which would be very good, due the recent losses of the two oldest and experienced Othawa females. Interesting times ahead in the Western sector of the Sabi Sands. The last Birmingham male and the Nkuhuma male hited fair tough to the lion dynamics there.

In a few months only. Right now they are a burden on her neck, who can follow her around and eat her food. No help with protection from hyenas or with hunting. Nothing.
Mhangenis left 12 cubs when they couldn't fed them. And there were more adults in the pride. Now Sassy alone will have to care for five helpless but with huge appetite subs.

Mhangenis left them because they went back to estrus and their dominant, Majingilanes males died off, so they went with new males to mate with.
They didn't left them because they couldn't feed them.
