Yea, pretty impressive for a loner what he achived in 2 yrs, no larger coalition near by also helps, but luck is big part of nature, sired so many subs in Imbali pride, which look on good track for making adulthood in big pride like that.
Dont know situation in Einstein (Imbali breakaway) pride, but as we seen in recent months he is activly seeking new mating opportunities and prob expansion..
I expect to see him less and less with Imbali pride at this point, even from reports and sightings he is not that often with them anymore.
Interested to see what future holds for him, especially if he links permanently with that young male who was seen hanging with him.

Dont understand this, Manyeleti is open to Kruger,SS, Timbavati, if the lion population get too dense, they will move out and spread naturally..
I assume these where females from Mbiri pride most likely (Nharus are not in estrus) i just dont get the idea how would this help to slow down lion population, by blocking 2 females to dont have cubs for half a year to an year..
They have policy to not intervene or help injured/sick lions, unless its caused by humans, but they intervene to reduce natural growing lion population?? This makes no sense..
They are prob concerned by massive Imbali pride moving in lately.

It's the first time that I heard an reserve is stopping the lion population growth. That doesn't make any kind of sense...
It would be good to see that Young male with Imbali. Wondering if it’s that one eyed Young Male who was trying to protect that pride when those two Skybed jrs came and gave him a beating, then they were all chased by Imbali

It makes sense im closed reserves, but in opens idk..
Poor red road, really does make my blood boil!!
As what was said the other day, that area around where the hrm and 3 tooth went missing is looking like a poaching hot spot, a few lions have just simply vanished there
First time I heard if it aswell.
But I guess its good news that they have recovered enough that such actions are needed.
Having less lions roaming around will also help the leopard or Cheetah populationg get a break.

I'm just as lost as you. These interventions indeed do happen in smaller, isolated reserves where natural dispersal is not an option but this is the first time I've heard of such operations being carried out in an expanse as vast as the Greater Kruger National Park
