Its hard to see such a powerful coalition of 5 members just 1 year ago, now down to 1 and most likely nomad now..

Wonder what happened to Amber Eyed Mpondo and Snip Tail's brother, we will prob never know, but funny enough they disappeared in the same are where 3T and HRM disappeared few months prior, i wouldn't be suprised if poaching was involved in some of this disappearence, because its hard to believe that 4 adult male lions can disappear just like that in the same area without a clue..

Well three tooth and Hilda’s could have been killed by Mpondo we at least saw them get expelled and that was what made Mpondos go into Unknown lands. But then again wasn’t Hilda’s and three tooth seen after that alone so idk. Blondie Mpondo could have been caught by south shish and EBM. But amber eyes and the jock Mpondo and big boy Charleston and son all missing last seen s65. But they were all seen for over a month close to eachother no problems, then all gone it’s weird.

this photo was posted on kruger sightings a week ago, unfortunately it's in very poor quality, but it's from an area near s65 doesn't look like Mpondo, south Shishangeni or EBM. The only visible identification mark is the scar near the ear, I'm waiting for some new sighting with a better image, but I decided to post here because it's close to the mysterious area and maybe someone can have an idea who it is

Well yes, there is possiblity that 3T and HRM got caught and killed by Mpondos or Renosterkoppies males (althrough its very low chances that both got killed around the same time) and Big Boy Charleston was very thin on last sighting and he prob got killed or ousted by Mpondos and then maybe died as nomad as obiviously age caught him..

But 3 Mpondos just took over that area and then 2 disappeared shortly after, very strange..

Mpondo's where some of the best looking lions in all of Kruger, with some of the most impressive manes, so they where definitely magnets for poachers, and we all know that that area near Kruger and Phabeni Gates is know for poaching and many snares are settled around that area ( few months or so ago 1 young lion was seen with snare near Kruger Gate and few weeks ago 1 hyena was also seen with snare near Kruger Gate).

Throwback Thursday - year 2010 the father of five Jock males watching four challenging males in the distance, months after this photo this old male along with his five young sons were expelled by the Mlambane male coalition moving to the northern area of the Jock concession where they wandered as nomads for several months, The old male with an injury in his hip made his health condition to decline progressively and unfortunately one day his five sons and the old male were rammed by a huge herd of buffaloes where the old male being very weak could not flee and was brutally attacked by the huge herd where he died minutes later.
