There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

The Fourways males were found hot on the trail of a breeding herd of buffalo and had several opportunities to attack some stray members of the herd, but were eventually chased away by some big males.

Here is a photo of the Kruger males. I don't know if the one in front is the Smudge-nosed...  would be nice check their whiskers!

Where do you find this photos, nice work!

In which year was that?

Idk if that is smudge, he might be..

I was able to download those two photos of the Kruger males at Jonesdam area in Kruger National Park. If you ask where and how I found. To be honest I don't remember at all. I'll check my record at Google and If I find something. You will know

Its interesting how all 3 lone lionesses (Tsalala, Sparta and Ximhungwe) are left with only 1 surviving cub, althrough we dont know how many Ximhungwe lioness had cubs, its very rare that lioness gave birth to only 1 cubs, so she too prob had more..

Its seems that its hard for 1 lioness to keep an eye on multiple cubs, and usually the 1 who keep close to his mother and dont vander around survive..

Also, when mother is not there, in the case of leopard, hyena or dog attack, when there are multiple cubs, cubs has better chances to run away because predators cant focus on them all (Tsalala cubs case, current female managed to run away while leopard was busy killing her 2 siblings)..
