I don't know exactly why, but IMO they do seem a little smaller, usually with a more narrow head.
I have no doubt that they to can have individuals that are gigantic, take Raja for example who might be the biggest South Indian tiger I've seen. Still I don't find him as big as some Central Indian males.
But this is just me sating my opinion. That's why it's here hopefully debated, and I wan't to hear you're opinion too.
