Well African animals are glorified, but tis not any propaganda against India but tis all about TRP.
Nat-geo & Discovery glorify lions to garner higher TRP from the audience back home US (& may be Europe). This is bcoz lion is glorified in Bible & the catholic audience (back home) would love to see a lion win. This should explain the Animal face-off episode where lion was declared the victor in a fight against tiger & why everything about lion-land (Africa) is holier.
Dave Salmoni was the tiger expert in that episode, I'm not aware of any tiger research by Salmoni in India & he is considered an expert on Bengal Tiger. May be he became an expert reading books by Clyde Beaty.
