On the afternoon of the 7th, we had a lot of elephant around the lodge area. The Thanda Impi male Lions were found on Windi Windi, and moved to Konkoni quarry.
Yesterday morning, started off with the Sizanani Thanda Impi male Lion at Zebra pan. He moved towards Konkoni quarry, and evenyually settled down for his daytime sleep. The new young male Leopard was found on Red road, and moved to the drainage line to the east. The rest of the morning produced the rest of the big 5.
In the afternoon, we relocated on the new young male Leopard in the same place. He is becoming quite relaxed with the vehicles now, a good sign for the future. Two of the young Mbiri lionesses were found at Konkoni quarry, and moved to Xigamba pan for drink.
This morning was all about the Lions! The Thanda Impi males and the two young Mbiri Lionesses were found at Xigamba Pan. The males were being quite aggressive with one another. During the morning, they killed a Buffalo bull on Windi Windi. The rest of the morning produced some great Elephant sightings.
