There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Also this young male was chased into Lionspruit the private reserve at Marloth. Used to be a male lion called Fluffy who dominated there but he died at 19 years old last year. There's been times lions from kruger have got in through the fence, fluffy once fought 2 kruger males who snuck in once but he won that fight and the 2 males went back through the fence they came.   Anyway this young male is identical to the Hippo Pools who was sent to North with mpondo. This story il post below was in January young male was chased into lionspruit and the guys decided he can replace Fluffy so they put him and some lioness from marloth and collared her. Here's the story from January this year. Likely this is another Hippo pools, my friend said they saw him yesterday so he's still there.

"Excellent news from Jaco Minnaar, Inkomazi Municipality Field Ranger:

The future King and Queen of Lionspruit. This the young Male lion of Lionspruit. He is about 4 years old. He made himself at home in Lionspruit just after Fluffie's death. He was roaming and fighting Lionspruit by himself and defending his territory inside.  He was in a fight involved about 2 months ago with the two old big male lions that were removed from Marloth Park. After that he was very proud of himself annd lucky for him he was safe in Lionspruit because if the two males did gain entry
Into Lionspruit, he would have been mince meat. He's a happy Chap now ? ?

The Queen ?  was roaming in Marloth Park, then Kruger then back in Marloth Park, she's a professional hunter between houses on the warthogs. One day she killed a warthog in a boma braai area!? Luckily no visitors were there! ? So we decided to dart her and put a collar on her just to monitor her movements and if there are any other lions with her! The plan was to move her into Lionspruit later on to be the Queen for the King ? But she was one step ahead of us! ? She moved into Lionspruit and made it her home ? ? She's a bit older than the King, but these days it doesn't matter anymore!??  Lets hope they will live happily ever after as  King ? and Queen ? of Lionspruit.

The Inkomazi Municipality Field Rangers will monitor the situation and make sure she stays there and not hunt the injured animal's in Marloth Park for a week and make sure she stays in Lionspruit permanently, because she knows there is easy prey in Marloth Park!? ?. Lionspruit is a new environment for her and she is not familiar with it yet!? ? ?

We request ALL visitors to Lionspruit to please RESPECT them and keep a SAFE distance from them! Do not encroach on their space PLEASE as they are only getting used to vehicles now and if you irritate them you will never get the pleasure of observing them in the future! They will then always hide from vehicles!?

Thank you for your cooperation!
The Inkomazi Municipality Field Rangers."
