The tiger kills as much as it can eat, but destroys all competitors. And the wolf kills as much as it can kill, this is the big difference between them. In Russia, they have been fighting against the wolf since ancient times, but defeating wolves is very difficult. But if a tiger lives in the area, then the wolves leave the area or become victims of the tiger. The tiger is the most effective weapon against wolves.

In the Russian Far East, tigers seem intolerant of wolves, meaning that where there are tigers there are no wolves, and the wolves that do show up in tiger habitat are quickly chased away or killed by their striped aggressors:
