Nauradehi Sanctuary is getting prepared to be international park with Cheetah Project

The Nauradehi Sanctuary which is spread across Damoh district of MP is being prepared by the Forest Department to become International Park. For the last one year, the sanctuary is under major developments. This will make this sanctuary a role model icon to the entire country of India. Information has been received that bigger park than this sanctuary will not be there in the whole country. It is because the Nauradehi area is 1200 sq km. There is no bigger sanctuary anywhere in the state. Nauradehi DFO told that after his visit to South Africa, he decided to get this sanctuary recognized in the country.

Drone Camera Vigilance
Nauradehi Sanctuary is located in the three district of MP namely Sagar, Damoh and Narsinghpur. It is under process of notifying as National Park, as reintroduced tiger radha -kishan pair are roaming around here. After this, Dr Ankur Awadhiya, who is working as DFO, decided to develop this sanctuary further. For the protection of the sanctuary, he made the proposal of drone camera as a third eye and sent this proposal to Bhopal. After approval from there, drones setup here was done. The sanctuary is getting much benefit from it. When Sagar CCF Akhilesh Singh Tiwari took stock of these issues, he also praised them. Now there is information that all the forests in the state will be guarding the drones 24*7.

From a long time ago, the works are being done to declare Nauradehi Sanctuary as National Park which are continuing to this day. For this, wild animals are brought here from Panna Tiger Reserve. Because a large part of the Panna Tiger Reserve is coming in the submerged area due to the dam being built under the na-Betwa link project. Therefore, the wildlife corridor is being prepared from Panna to Nauradehi, whereby wild animals of Panna Tiger Reserve can easily migrate to Nauradehi Sanctuary, but now the sanctuary is making efforts to make an international park. For this, it has been included in the ten-year executive plan. Nauradehi DFO Ankur Awadhiya went to South Africa and saw the international sanctuaries and reserves there and accordingly, efforts were made to develop the Nauradehi Sanctuary.

Cheetah will be brought shortly
The project to bring cheetahs from South Africa is underway. Significantly, cheetahs are found in India in the past and now they will be brought from South Africa to the Nauradehi Sanctuary. According to information received from the sources, approval of cheetah relocation is done.

In this regard, Niradehi DFO Ankur said that it is true that efforts of Nauradehi to make International standard reserve are going fast. All the efforts that have come so far have been successful. Drone Camera are working very well. In connection with his visit to South Africa, he told that soon Nauradehi is going to get Cheetahs.
