There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Lions are doing just fine, the Ngorongoro crater is a magical place, all animals there are huge and healthy with year round herds, cooler temps and nutrient rich vegetation.
Lions make the trek from the surrounding Ngorongoro park and the Serengeti, although this is rare with the masai villages along the way, but even still its lots of open area that they can avoid the villagers.
The Masai are actually allowed to bring their cattle into the crater each day to graze and the lions for the most part have learned to leave them alone because if a lion kills their cattle the Masai will hunt them down.
