I was a bit curious about it, that has discussion about tiger subspecies had any effect to Amur tiger conservation. I mean that, when Cat Specialis Group suggested, that only two subspecies of tigers. I asked from Korkeasaari zoo, which is participating to Amur tiger project and answer was, that so far there has been no changes. So they still treat Amur tigers as own subspecies. Person who answered to me told, that head of conservation projects in Korkeasaari zoo is right now at holiday, but she will ask more when that person is back again.
She also said, that this subspecies matter has been lately quite "hot potato" among conservation biologists :)
