There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

I wouldn't comment on their own intra-state relocation & vaccination plans until i have more on it... given our dumb reporters didn't bother to ask any follow-up questions on those.

How does strict surveillance & enforcement make Gir "technically a zoo"?
Ok Let's see,
Why they are avoiding the WII and NTCA Control over Lion conservation? why bounding to their own state manipulation?

W** is the necessary for building damn numerous Safari Parks? To reduce pressure on Gir? LOL. or to make money with unauthorized Safari Parks? aren't there any asiatic lion safari parks in other states or countries? Can't they build them?

How much more they can bring up the lion number? 1000 or 2000 or 3000? No matter how strong they weave stories of lion-human coexistence? No one ever know what's happening in real. Aren't they concentrated in one Place?

Leave about Kuno and others, what happened to Barda, this is not the first time, Barda only is showed when kuno issue is fired and after that, everything is goes back to corner... Afraid of intra state lion distribution too?
During the thirteen days of Diwali the national park and the Gir Interpretation Centre saw over 70000 visitors. The source has a point. Devaliya park saw over 6000 tourists on a single day on Sunday, November 11. The park had also recently introduced gipsy's to ferry tourists while an earlier only limited number of minibuses were allowed. This was done to cater to the tourist rush. Millions of Income directly and indirectly.
Rampant permission in sand mining and timber collection illegally around gir periphery zone destroying corridors.

Only in Zoo or rescue center this level protection can be seen. These lions are the sentinalese of the lion world. People must understand that how bad they are living currently. They should not end like caspian, bali and javan tigers... and "Investing" 100's of crores in showing off and using public money like that to benefit in lion monopoly is no way near helpful for them in long term.

Who are those people that don't know "Reintroduction of Zoo specimens or relocation of wild animals to their historic range is a conservation tool"?
But they know the importance of relocation when comes to "intra-state" in relocation of mugger crocodiles from "Statue of Unity" to other place in Narmada, separating from their homes and disrupting the ecology.

What's the need to build a fence with thousands of kilometres around the sanctuaries, like it was a big zoo enclosure where animals have no freedom and should inbreed?

If an outbreak occurs, lions which can tolerate and resist the disease should live others should die that's' the natural policy and Survival of the fittest, what's need to continue the genetic line of lower individuals and inbreeding them again and protecting them through vaccination? Show any reserve or country does so?

It sounds like an international border with all such 24*7 CCTV surveillance, drones, hospitals and rescue centers etc.., etc..., showing off?

I though at least WII project is better but things have been worsen.

I don't care, support and show no mercy to anthropocentric people who are detrimental to the Environment and nature and show no bias even the consequences are bad. Think in every possible positive way by stepping into their shoes, will end up with negative and marketing concern of views.
