With respect to the threat from the Sand River Pride, I believe it will be many years before the Sand River cubs grow large enough to challenge anyone, unless you're referring to the Mantimahles, which is a threat people have been envisioning for some time, though I suspect there are easier pickings around for them, so probably not.
