His name is Mike Higgs and is the owner of the Marakele Sanctuary at Thabazimbi in SA. This is apparently a big cat sanctuary with cats saved from canned hunting. The gentleman made a terrible error in judgement and it nearly cost him his life...sadly the lion was killed!

A seventy something year old man decided to try and run for it instead of facing the lion and backing up slowly, brilliant and then people come in his defence saying he had years of experience that's not really relevant when he did exactly what should never be done.

It's the type of job you need to be conscious that one mistake will get you killed, I don't think someone this old should have this type of job you need to know when to quit while you are ahead. Reply
