Hoplias aimara is one of the most aggresive fishes in Rivers and the most aggresive fish in captivity always ready to attack the person that gets too close to the tank, it is very territorial it had attacked humans defending its territory in the wild, fishermen avoid them because they say that they have destroyed their nets with their powerful jaws when I asked them if they could catch one for my aquarium, that is the reason the few ones you see in aquariums are very small specimens.
