Very nice pckts; thanks. If you will notice in Vinay's video ( wrongly post in the Sloth Bear topic ), the wild boar steps aside for the European brown bear. On a wildlife documentary about India, I have also watched wild boars scatter at the arrival of a sloth bear. American black bears prey upon razor-backs ( mostly small pigs ).
It is really very uncommon for a grizzly to hunt really big adult prey such as elk, moose, or bison. Bears generally do not like to risk an unnecessary fight. However, sometimes, in stalking a calf, a confrontation with an adult bull or cow ( or boar ) will happen. Again, nice post - good information.
