We are already talking about a big what if scenario here but It has been a long time since the weakened BDM is seen in bad condition, he is often looking good and fat, issue is the limp.

Maybe he couldn't help in serious clashes, but in the ideal world where he joins in, he'd need to at least have the confidence to help roaring and intimidating other lions while his brother and Avoca does the heavy lifting, otherwise I doubt they'd have any chance of holding a territory with Sabi Sands' strong duos all around them.

We saw how the old Kruger male was able to trouble the PCM with the help of a old and weakened S.Avoca, while they barely had time to bond. They chased 1 PCM, might have killed a few of their cubs too. I'm pretty sure if S.Avoca was as healthy as KM and had more time to bond, they could have legitimately tried to claim the NK pride.

But KM and S.Avoca were more bold, confident males, full of drive to compete. Most other males aren't like that.

Look at Nkuhuma Birmingham and Skorro. Skorro was like that, NK wasn't, with barely any time together they were trying stuff, which ended up with other coalitions chasing them. NK and Tumbela? The same, barely no time together and they were trying stuff in the south, which ended up with Tumbela permanently retired. Maybe you could add Nhenha too to this list of bolder males who partned with NK.

Now NK is with Talamati for a much longer time and they haven't done anything yet, likely because Talamati has similar personality to NK.

Healthy S.BDM is more of a NK/Talamati and I'm not entirely sure what type of lion Avoca is, so I doubt they'd have it in them to, as a duo, compete with other strong and established duos like Kruger/S.Avoca would have been able to if S.Avoca was healthier and had more time to bond with KM. Reply
