I'll watch the Tintswalo Virtual Safari now, very interesting stuff.
Very interesting indeed...
What can we see: Mbiri males not showing any agressive behavior towards the cub, its clear that they thing the cub is theirs, the Mbiri lionesses not showing any signs of stress from the males being around the cub so they know that they think its theirs
Mbiris just seem to have a free pass into Manyeleti and play dominant over the Mbiris when they feel like it since we never see the Tinswalo/Orpen coalition try to defend whats theirs, so just as the cub as dads from different coalitions, the Mbiri pride seem to have dominant males or atleast resident males from two different coalitions since their behavior with both from what we´ve seen doesnt change much even in regards to the cub
Mbiri lionesses seem just as comfortable with Mandevu around the cub
So here is where I start to get some questions, could the cub really be Mbiri´s coalition cub? Well, it wouldn´t be the first time we saw Mandevu accepting cubs that arent his, thats the reason why he has a partner now, the role of Mandevu in the Mbiri pride is quite unique in my opinion due to him looking like a dominant male but Im not sure if part of him does still see himself as part of the pride he was born into and cubs showing up is natural wheter he mated with the lionesses or not so why would he kill fellow family members, we do know Mandevu mated with Mbiri females and that he might be the father of the cub, but besides territory patrols does Mandevu really acts like a dominant male towards the Mbiri pride? When he had Ncila and Lambile by his side I havent seen him defend the pride
He´ve seen he got some balls by barely " winning " if you can call it that against red road when he had numbers by his side and after trying his luck against red road alone and getting sent back just as quickly as he came
The only time I recall seeing them protect the pride was recently in the red road incident that Mandevu with the help of Orpen chased away RR
With that said thankfully all males have unique faces and if the cub grows older we might see who his father is quite easly if he shows his traits like any of them
Quick Edit here: when and from what we´re seeing now if ZigZag dies I wish they would measure him, gosh he isnt small is he lol
