There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

This might be why a lot more of the Mara lions have those big muscular builds while you don't see those super bulky builds as much in the Kruger, that doesn't mean they aren't wild.
I think the same.
Obviously we dont know how they actually compare in size, but to me, on average, Mara lions look bigger, especially on muscular/bulk spectrum.
Kruger has more diseases than Mara, but climate, diet and ofc genetics have their role aswell.
Thats on average, but "top" specimens of Kruger and Mara are prob around same sizes, you can find "monster" looking specimens on both sides.
