Nharus with newest cubs and Red Road from 6:15 onward.
It really looks like 1 male, 2 females in the newest litter - at the end it seems he is even slightly bigger.
With all of the recent clashes, being pressured from all sides, and the turmoil of constantly changing dynamics in the area, I hope RRM is able to hang on long enough to see these newest cubs to age.
Yeah this could really be Red Road's last dance. If he can keep these cubs secure for another 12, 18 months, they have a high chance of survival and can contribute to the overall longevity of the Nharu pride (the females). It would also be a "good" natural moment for Red Road to leave the pride (in whatever way), since he has been reigning over the pride for what, 5+ years now? Incredible, wow. To prevent inbreeding with his own daughters this would be good.
What gives me hope for these cubs' survival, despite the turmoil and changing dynamics in the area, is that their mother is very experienced. And of course their father is no joke, great to see him hanging with the cubs.
By the way, Red Road's mane is really developing into a Scar Mbiri type mane, with the hair forwards lol, love to see it
I also agree with the sentiment that this could really be Red Road's last dance as there are already new young males that is looking for territory (Monwana, Birmingham Breakaway, etc.) and would be up incoming new males near him (Torchwoods sub adults, Kambulas sub adults, Nkuhumas subadults, Vuyelas subadults(Sark Breakaway), etc.) and his neighbor in North is Mandevu has a new and young partner Orpen Young Male as well as the Mantimahle Sons in his South as it seems like they are currently in hold of Imbali Pride. Being a lone male lion is truly a challenge for a male lion, but props to him he did protect the Nharu Pride as a lone male lion like the Kruger Male until the Kambulas and Mantimahle Sons push him off the Imbali Pride and Torchwood Breakaway respectively.
