There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

In fact most people simply accepted they were just later than average to develop and were pleased when they finally managed to take hold of a pride and territory.
I don’t disagree Kambulas have failed to achieve their potential so far and have displayed some strange behaviour but it’s not as if we are all witnessing something we’ve not seen before. Just hope K4 recovers from this as it would be a real shame to lose their most impressive member at such a critical moment for them.
I want to be clear. I am not in hate of the Kambula males. I've always and will always have a soft spot for them, but this situation with K4 throws a giant cloud over their future. If they move on through life never being territorial? So be it. I think for me the greatest problem here with a LOT of the males in Sabi (and there are a LOT of males in Sabi right now), is that they all really suck for the prides that were left alone when The Northern Avocas and S8 were ousted/passed. The Kambula's were seen as the hope and savior for that region, and as we now see, probably not. So... off to Kruger with you and next up!
Perhaps we are at fault more for putting that pressure on them, I know I am, but hate? I do not hate them. I do not criticize them. I am a lazy human with nowhere near the ambition of even my peers. I've done just fine for myself in life and that's enough for me, while many of my closest friends have incredible careers and families and whatnot. So I get the concept of wanting to just exist and be free. Maybe they'll get there in a couple of years, but my point is more that in 2 years, it might just be too late. If K4 does succumb to these injuries which is highly probably, I can see the remaining 3 being picked off one by one over that time. Or... who knows. They take SBDM into the fold and he leads them to glory.
For me the interesting thing is that they have 8 or 9 younger brothers coming up the line that show some promise. I guess time will tell.
