There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
There’s a real sense of ‘changing of the guard’ taking place right now in terms of the dominant males in Timbavati and surrounding regions with Mapoza gone, Ross Males seemingly on the way out and Mbiris also ageing but so far holding on. Vuyelas and Black Dams have established as the undisputed strongest coalitions and then you’ve got the upcoming Birmingham Breakaways and Monwana Males. Couple of solo males in Hercules and Giraffe/Makeppies Male will have to be careful surrounded by all these big coalitions. 2025 will be a year of transition for all the prides involved.
Another thought, where on earth is the Southern Black Dam Male who left his brother and moved back up there? Sure his last couple of sightings he was hanging with the young Avoca male but seems like nothing on those two in ages.
