There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
Greetings! New member here to this forum, but I have been following these pages for a long time. I have been fascinated by the Gijimas, but their true origins seams to be a mystery. It has been discussed back in this thread that they are believed to be born around late 2017 to early 2018 and entered the southern Sabi from Kruger in 2022. It appears confirmed that there were only two, DM who is slightly older and LM during the Ndzenga confrontation. Approximately two years prior, the Ottawa break away sub-adults who would be the same age went into Kruger in the same location after Hairy Belly Matimba’s was ouster the Tumbellas. Gingerella returned with one of the mini Matimba/Ottawa males who eventually disappeared, but the second mini Matimba stayed in the Kruger with the slightly older Majingelane/Ottawa Jr. male who was already showing the signs of a developing dark mane. My point being is that I believe the Gijimas could actually be the long lost Ottawa males unless this has been discussed in another thread and they turned up elsewhere in the Kruger or are still considered missing.
