The success of the Majingilane in defeating many coalitions was due to the fact that they were always together when they fought them. The only time they weren't together was the time their 5th brother was killed by Mr. T and Kinky tail (Shaka), although I think I read that the 4 Majingilane were close and heard the fight and for unknown reasons didn't come to help. 

They were lucky not to face the Mapogos when they were all together because history could've been different.
