The record update comes on the basis of the 6.21 meter long skeleton that belonged to a specimen shot dead by a cowboy when found devouring a pig on a farm in the municipality of Feijó in Acre state in Brazil on February 16, 2013, knowing through a scientific article Stretching the Truth: The Elastic Properties of the Body and Skin of a Giant Snake published by biologist David G Barker this managed to discover the difference between skeleton and a living specimen through this we were able to calculate the true size of this living specimen at approximately 6.40 to 6.50 m its Weight was described in a series of newspaper articles at the time as weighing 170 kg.
