Where this assumption that the cubs are sired by young Giraffe male insteed of dominant over pride Mapoza male even came from? Is there even a single sighing of Giraffe male with Monwana females?
I would imagine it comes from previously reported mating haven taken place by him and some of the females. I will see if I can find more information on those reports and share what I may be able to find. Until then I will edit my previous post.
