Nice footage. His mom was watching and almost waiting for him. Still so sad that he died. I knew that the odds were against him, but seeing as how he stuck with the pride for months after the invasion, was hoping against hope for him. Have to say I feel more sad about his death than the Styx Lioness, maybe because of the raw footage of how he died, showing him scared and waiting in front of Snip Tail. The footage panned out right after he was killed and showed his mom watching the whole thing! They say lionesses never forget the death of their young.... The fact that she was too scared to intervene against the male spoke volumes. Sometimes I wonder if he would have had a fighting chance sticking more with his siblings than his mom. Was he only with her the whole time before he was caught? Where was the pride at the time? The details were never explained. His mom could have been trying to evade the male, leading them away from the subs, but the cub was too young and confused....?
