Modern Weights and Measurements of Jaguars

@Ngonya Onçafari does have a base in the Atlantic Forest at Legado das Aguas and Velocitta. Both of those areas are, unfortunately, devoid of jaguars due to local extinction so they track pumas and other local fauna instead. 

Atlantic Forest jaguars are similar in size to those from the Amazon basin, their average weigh is in excess of 80 kg, not including those from the Upper Paraná wetlands that are Pantanal sized reaching 130 kg with a very small sample size. The data for the Upper Paraná and Atlantic Forest is in the weight database spreadsheet, do you have access to it?

@GuateGojira it's nice to see you back! Actually, I also believed that photo referred to Assesino but the male in that photo is actually a different specimen. My friend Lichsoldat from Jaguarland went to see the Siemel family on Pennsylvania some time ago and they confirmed to him that the jaguar Assesino was never photographed. This jaguar was so big that according to them Sasha almost died hunting him, and after the jaguar was killed he couldn't move him from the kill site so he had to return to the body days later. By that time, the carcass of the jaguar was largely consumed by scavengers so they could only recover the skull. To make matters worse, they ended up auctioning the skull years later so we no longer have physical records of this outstanding specimen, something they greatly regret doing.

Sasha and his wife stated that Assesino was the largest jaguar they had ever seen and estimated at at least 350 lbs, I can link the original comment from my friend here if you want.

On another note, another friend of mine currently studying to become a biologist contacted Fernando Tortato from Panthers and performed several regression calculations based on Joker's measurements using Shaka as a base and got a consistent total weight for him.
