There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

@Apex Titan :

" First time I've ever heard of a 19 year old wild male lion. He must have been a very powerful and intelligent lion to last this long. "

Yes, you're right. For a male lion, it's a sacred feat to reach this age in wild. I have heard of lionesses being between 15 and 20 years old, but it isn't a very precise data, and don't let us forget that the lionesses keep on living in prides till their death.

In order to have some other pictures of this lion when it was younger, I did some research, I found this video, entirely in Hindi: But how can we be sure it's always him, when we see some young males ? At least we know its life wasn't an easy one.

And this one: Loonkito here is "only" 16 years old. This video is dated from the international day of lion of 2020 (i.e. 10th august 2020).
