But in lion TB generally occurs when he got injured in some fight/ wrong buffalo hunt, can't get to eat for few days, get very thin/ loss body mass, especially alrind hips and suddenly we came to know he got TB.
Also never gotta heard about such TB disease in leopard and cheetah.
Forget about these, never heard about TB in lionesses too. I mean there are many 14-15-16 yrs old lionesses aronnd / recently passed like silver eye, her sister, othawa aunt, her sister, 2 old mhangeni girls, old Styx girl, white dot/ black dot Birmingham girls never heard any TB type disease in them.
These girls also get injured in territorial fights like tsalala girls vs kambula pride ( a few yrs ago), but they don't get TB.
The TB lesions are found in the lungs of the Buffalo. The males typically get first choice in kills and so are the ones eating these lesions.
On top of that I think maybe why we don't see females going through the same prolonged decline is that those are symptomatic probably die a lot faster than the males. Blondie could still dominate kills even while skinny which kept him alive for a while, a lioness in the same position would find themselves going without meals.
