There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
I think there are at least 5 subs in the Timbavati River Pride. 2 females and 3 males. One of the females is nearly 3 and was seen mating not too long ago. It's pretty early on for a lioness to mate! She is the one the guides call, 'Princess,' the lone survivor of the firstborn set of cubs. The others died of some muscle disease? Wonder if her own mother is in heat yet? Or is it delayed because they are in hiding? The others are coming of age and will turn 2 soon, so the lionesses might soon go into heat.
