There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

we can look at its stomach during capture, it didn't ate the bait , yes it was 230kg on scale .

You’re better off not making assumptions especially when the source is TOI.

okk bro there are various videos on it , interview of park authorities and there are 10 other newpapapers and some digitial media  too , how u sure i am making assumptions and this is fake ?????????

And can you show a single one with the Tigers weight being verified from the person involved?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcoSrVVnDNE , its on video , weighted 230kg after medical check up . https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city...905866.cms ,  they might release the report in public too .

It's the same as the article, both published by TOI. It's just the article "made for tv" version.
various other newspapers(more than donze) too wrote this just google it , they categorically mentioned the word "weighted" ,its most likely 100% they have been told by vet,  for me and many other people its confirmed . . u should urself mail the vet or park ranger .for me and many other people its 100%  confirmed . afterall 230kg is not a huge figure , its longer than that 215kg corbett male that was translocated to rajaji . also it looks bigger than that from different angle .
There is no Vet mentioned, just "teams,'' Alok Pathak is possible but he's private and part of the DFO not a vet unfortunately.
We've gone through this with TOI for years, I'll wait for clarification before confirmation.
And I'm not sure which Corbett male you're referring to but 6' and 230kg don't generally go together. Any Tiger not close to 190cm or more will generally be around the 180-200kg range unless completely full or a very unusual cat.
The Pilibhit male is a good example, he was measured in a straight line with a massive chest girth and very tall *probably measured tip of paw* and he was 192kg. He was shorter than this male though but his chest was massive, almost as large as Branders. His was 56'' compared to Branders at 59''
In comparison this male shown in the article would be longer but no way he's as large in the chest and certainly doesn't look 40kg's larger than the male I mentioned.
